Why this is written by an agency in Rohtak
We are one of the agencies you would be choosing between, so read this with that in mind. It is still worth writing, because the questions below are the ones we would want asked of us, and most of them are not asked often enough. If they lead you somewhere other than us, that is a reasonable outcome.
Decide what you are buying before you take a call
"Digital marketing" covers content production, media buying, search, web build and analytics, and almost nobody is genuinely strong at all five. Work out which one is your actual bottleneck first. An agency that agrees your problem is whichever service they sell most of is answering a different question from the one you asked.
Ask who does the work
In a lot of agencies the people in the pitch are not the people on the account. Ask directly: who writes the scripts, who touches the ad account, who replies when something breaks on a Saturday. Then ask to speak to them before signing. The answer tells you more than any deck.
Look at their own channels
A content studio that cannot hold an audience on its own feed is asking you to believe it can hold one on yours. This is the cheapest due diligence available and almost nobody does it. Check the last twenty posts, not the pinned three.
Be careful with reporting that only goes up
Impressions and reach can be made to rise indefinitely and mean nothing. Ask what the agency would report if a month went badly, and what they would recommend doing about it. An agency that has never delivered bad news has either been extraordinarily lucky or is not looking.
Local knowledge matters less than people claim, except where it does not
For a national ecommerce brand, an agency's postcode is irrelevant. For a clinic, a showroom or a restaurant competing in the map pack, it matters a great deal — someone has to understand the catchment, the language mix and which neighbouring towns are worth chasing. Be honest about which of the two you are.
Pricing that is too flexible is a warning
A quote that moves substantially the moment you hesitate was not costed from the work. Ask what is included, what triggers an extra charge, and what happens if you want to leave in month three. Notice periods and asset handover should be written down before money changes hands.
What we would tell you about us
Digihandler has run from Rohtak since 2018. Fifteen people, two founders who stay on the accounts, work across roughly 250 brands. We are strong on short-form video, paid performance and local search; we are not the right studio if you need a large enterprise media team or a full-time in-house extension. Send us the account that is not pulling its weight and we will tell you what we would change first, whether or not you hire us.
